EVERY JOURNEYs STARTS WITH ONE STEP

I wish to take this opportunity to extend my sincere gratitude to all my friends with whom I think have made the start of semester one of my studies at Gulu University went smoothly that made me experience an amiable event, knowledge and experience worth embellishing.

I wish to thank the Maria Hyttel first and foremost for having granted me the linkages of financial support from friends and family.  In a similar way, I wish to extend thanks to the Uganda Red Cross Society for understanding and giving me equally humble time to balance the studies with work during this Semester.

 

No gratitude would be complete without extending thanks and appreciation to Marianne who made my semester study worthwhile by sacrificing her time to come and give me encouragement and wholly supporting the semester school fees. I do dedicate the humble achievements registered during the semester to you.

I am very certain that by starting the studies, I now have an image worth further recognising potential for further growth only because of your contributions.

I finished my last paper of the semester today and have a break for some holidays as I yet wait for the second semester that starts at the beginning of Feb, 2013 for yet another 4 months period.

UPDATES ON START OF SEMESTER STUDY

Hello Friends,

With great pleasure, let me use this opportunity to share with you the progress of my studies at Gulu University.

Allow me to start by appreciating Friends who without which I would not have made through to be a student once again. These includes, Maria Hytell, Marianne, Sarah Marie that with all their heart, Have supported me through this semester tuitions and even other additional supports.

I now a registered student and one of the happiest, confident and promising in our lecture room.

I have so far done 3 course work test and so happy that I am amongst the best so far simply because of the positive mind that I currently have, mostly after clearing all my school fees due.

Why I support Samuel's education

I worked together with Samuel for a Red Cross project in Northern Uganda and I was amazed by his tireless dedication to his work in his efforts to help poor youth in the project. Samuel's parents died during the conflicts in Northern Uganda. Despite his difficult situation he has an unusual strong will to help himself and other youth in his situation. He works as volunteer for the Red Cross project helping poor youth get training and start own small businesses in hairdressing, bakery and bicycling repair.

Samuel wishes to do a 3-year Bachelor in Business Administration at Gulu University, but without parents to support him he is dependent on the help of others. It only costs 364$ for one semester - 2184$ for all 3 years. So even small amounts can make a BIG difference for Samuel.

Enthusiastic and talented youth like Samuel are essential for rebuilding society in Northern Uganda. That is why I wish to help my good friend Samuel by supporting his further education.
